Academic Testing Information

Guidelines for Students

Academic testing is available for students who miss their in-class exam due to an emergency or illness and for students requiring test accommodations due to a documented disability. Please check with your instructor to determine if you are a candidate for completing your testing in the Academic Testing Center.

Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule your testing, as computer space is limited. All academic testing must be scheduled in advance. There will be no walk-in testing for academic courses. Please email the Testing Center with all information regarding your test request in order to schedule an appointment.

If you will be receiving accommodations with your testing, please let the proctor know when scheduling your test. Bring your documentation from The Office of Accessibility, also, so your accommodations are appropriately provided.

A photo ID is required for all testing. You must also know the name of your course, instructor, and section number.

Cell phones, smart watches, smart glasses, fitbits, tablets, laptops and all other electronic devices are not permitted in the testing rooms. If you bring any of these items with you, then you will be required to place them in a secure locker for the duration of your testing.

Schedule Academic Testing

All academic testing appointments must be scheduled by emailing the Testing Center. Please review the following information prior to scheduling your testing.

There are two types of academic testing: online and paper. Online testing is internet-based and requires a computer to complete. Paper-based testing is a paper/pencil test that an instructor places in the Testing Center with specific instructions for the student. If completing paper/pencil testing, it is the student’s responsibility to communicate with their instructor to ensure the test is available in the Testing Center for their scheduled appointment.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact the Testing Center.

Remember to schedule your appointment in advance to ensure you can complete your testing within the time frame set by your instructor.
